Using Tags for Distributed It Project Management

TAGS is an inter-disciplinary, inter-institutional project which brings together software systems builders and subject-specialists keen to exploit network based learning. It is sponsored by SHEFC as part of a wider C&IT programme [1]. The project has developed a web-based system for group-based project work where all types of resource are groupbased. This paper gives an overview of the user models used in TAGS, and illustrates its groupbased approach with a case study in distributed IT project management.
